Speak Up For Kids' Cancer!

We Are Working Together

Why is now the time to Speak Up for Kids’ Cancer? Because important childhood cancer issues are before Congress right now. If approved, these bills would help make new drugs available for kids with cancer, aid in the discovery of causes of brain tumors, and improve the lives of childhood cancer survivors. Congress is also considering a resolution that focuses on the psychosocial problems of kids with cancer and their families.

Take action on these childhood cancer issues currently before Congress:

Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult Cancer Survivorship Research and Quality of Life Act of 2011 (S. 1613, H.R. 3015)
The Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult Cancer Survivorship Research and Quality of Life Act of 2011 (S.1613 and H.R. 3015) is bipartisan legislation (introduced and supported by Democrats and Republicans) to improve and advance the treatment of childhood cancer survivors.
Creating Hope Act (S. 606 and H.R. 3059)
The development of drugs for pediatric cancer is terribly inadequate — in the last 20 years, only one pediatric cancer drug has received initial FDA approval.
